Ball Bearing Units

The NSK bearing unit is a combination of a radial ball bearing, seal, and a housing of high-grade cast iron or pressed steel, which comes in various shapes.

The outer surface of the bearing and the internal surface of the housing are spherical, so that the unit is self-aligning.

The inside construction of the ball bearing for the unit is such that steel balls and retainers of the same type as in series 62 and 63 of the deep groove ball bearing are used. A duplex seal consisting of a combination of an oil-proof synthetic rubber seal and a slinger is provided on both sides.

Ball Bearings

Ball bearings are used for high precision applications in a variety of markets, including aerospace, agriculture, construction, health, machine tool and general industry.

Bearing Housings

Inverell Bearing Centre carries an extensive range of bearing housings for all industries.

Cylindrical Roller Bearings

Cylindrical roller bearings feature high radial load capacity because the rollers and raceway are in linear contact. These bearings are suitable for applications that involve heavy radial and impact loading. They are also appropriate for high-speed applications in that they can be machined very accurately due to their structure. Having a separable inner ring or outer ring, these bearings can be mounted and dismounted easily.

Needle Roller Bearings

Needle roller bearings are a bearing that is classified as either radial or thrust depending on the direction of the load being supported.

Needle roller bearings include bearings whose rollers slightly exceed the size range of needle rollers as stipulated by ISO. Needle roller bearings include drawn cup and solid radial bearings, as well as application-specific cam followers, and roller followers. Thrust bearings include thrust needle bearings.

Specialty Bearings

Molded-Oil bearings are lubricated with NSK’s own oil-impregnated material. Molded-Oil consists of lubricating oil and polyolefin resin that has an affinity for oil. Oil slowly seeping from this material provides ample lubrication to the bearing for extended periods.

Used for applications in which bearings are exposed to large quantities of liquids such as water.

Spherical Roller Bearings

Spherical roller bearings have a comparatively high load capacity with two rows of rollers, a common sphered outer ring raceway and two inner ring raceways inclined at an angle to the bearing axis. The centre point of the sphere in the outer ring raceway is at the bearing axis. Therefore, the bearings are self-aligning and insensitive to misalignment of the shaft relative to the housing, which can be caused, for example, by shaft deflection.

Available in both parallel bore and tapered bore configurations, tapered bore spherical roller bearings can be fitted and removed easily using an adapter assembly or withdrawal sleeve. Spherical roller bearings are designed to accommodate heavy radial loads, as well as heavy axial loads in both directions.

The NSK HPS Spherical roller bearing has been designed to provide an extended operational life with an improved limiting speed of 120% and a running life of up to double that of conventional Spherical roller bearings of the same size.

Super Precision Bearings

Precision bearings are designed to deliver the high accuracy, high rotational speed, and high rigidity needed for demanding applications. Inverell Bearing Centre can supply an extensive range of super precision bearings, including a full range of single row angular contact bearing and Ball Screw Support Bearings.

Tapered Roller Bearings

Tapered roller bearings are uniquely designed to manage both thrust and radial loads on rotating shafts and in housings. Timken manufacture nearly 26,000 tapered roller bearing combinations – in single, double and four-row tapered roller bearing configurations. Customized geometries and engineered surfaces can be applied to these tapered roller bearings to further enhance performance in demanding applications.

Tapered roller bearings consist of four interdependent components: the cone, or inner ring; the cup, or outer ring; the tapered rollers, or rolling elements; and the cage, or roller retainer. The taper angles allow the bearing to handle a combination of radial and thrust loads. The steeper the cup angle, the greater the ability of the tapered roller bearing to handle thrust loads.
